Franklin R. Jones Jr. age 55 of Utica, NY passed away on Friday October 31, 2014 at his residence. Born on November 3, 1958 Franklin is the son of Franklin Jones, Sr. and the late Lucille Hooks. Franklin was raised and educated in Mt. Dora, FL where he still holds athletic records in track and field. Frank relocated to Utica as a teenager and was a recent student at MVCC. Franklin and his wife Ann Wright Jones are the proud parents of three children, Franklin Jones III, Kayatta and Vanda Wright. Together they have 10 grandchildren. Franqwest, Franklin IV, Walter, Diamond, Raquann, Novea, Amirah ,Kyan, Schnika and Nasir. Franklin is survived by his father Franklin (Betty) Jones, siblings Faye Weaver, Janice Hambrick, Gerald Stewart, Jesse Stewart all of FL, Phyllis Jones, TN, Gregory Jones, Betty Thompson and Dietra Harvey all of NY, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special Aunts Gertrude Walker of NC and Jean Baird Davis of Utica. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 11am-12noon with service to follow immediately thereafter at T. Revels- Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
