Robert L. Gooch, 78, of Utica, passed away June 6, 2014, in the St. Lukes Home with his family by his side. He was born February 20, 1936 in Water Valley, MS. to the late Will Gooch and Syvilla Carr. He retired from Abelove Laundry after 30 years of service.
Robert is survived by his longtime companion, Ida Mae Dickson, children; William, Larry, Freddy, Leberta (Clinton) Hammett, Lester, Jennifer, Christopher (Christine) Gooch and their mother Bessie Gooch, step children; Sam, Christine, Linda, Gail, David Dickson, Keyron Felder and Daniel Austin, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren 3 sisters and 6 brothers. He is predeceased by a daughter, Bessie Gooch.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 14, 2014, from 11:00 am until the 12:00 noon funeral service at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Chapel.
