Darquell Zamir Carter, age 22, was born to Minyette Jackson and Rodney Carter. He attended MVCC. He was full of life and loved his son, Darquell, Jr., dearly. His smile lit up Holly's heart. Darquell leaves to mourn, his mother, Minyette Jackson, of Utica, NY, and father, Rodney Carter, from North Carolina; son, Darquell Zamir Carter, Jr.; girlfriend, Holly Bennett; brothers, Darrius, Dashir, Adrian II and Ar'Jon; his grandmother, Martha Carter; grandfathers, Rodney Carter and David Jackson, Jr.; and great-grandmothers, Eula Jackson and Jessie-Mae Rudley. He is also survived by his nephews, Jaylen and Jeremih; nieces Nayanna, Niasa and Ava; and a host of loving family. His calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, from 5 pm to 7 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, located at 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, at 12:30 pm at The House of God, No. 2, located at 800 John Street, Utica, NY.
