John Wesley (Curt) Spratt, 44, of Utica, entered into the hands of the Lord July 24, 2013 in Utica. Curt as he loved to be called was born March 3, 1969, in Utica to the late Sadie Walker Reed and John "Coon-boy" Spratt. Curt was raised and educated in Utica. He loved being around his family, telling jokes and playing basketball, which he was good at. John is survived by his father, John "Coon-boy"(Dorothy)Spratt, stepfather, Johnny L. Reed, brothers and sisters; Willie(Sian-Kierre)Walker, Minister Jarrod Spratt, Anthony(Caroline)Spratt, Jermaine Reed, Dynell(Noreen)Reed, Bengi Reed, Marcus(Vondine)Reed, Mae Helen Spratt-Fulton, Belissa Spratt, Terry(Rebecca) Spratt, Jason Walker, Christopher(Johanna)Spratt and Alexander Spratt. Uncles and Aunts; James Walker, Benjamin Walker, Harvey(Betty)Ivey, Dorothy"Aunt Ruthie"Spratt, Millie Spratt, Edith Spratt-Huyler, Floreen"Aunt Donna"Spratt, all of Utica, Virginia"Aunt Polly"Danny Watkins, of Herkimer,NY, Willie and Roger Spratt, of Tampa, FL, a host of nieces, nephews and special cousins. His son and heart, Tyquis McCall. He was predeceased by his mother, brothers, Derrick"Fuddy"Reed and Emanuel"EE"Spratt, aunt Carrie Lou Spratt. The family thanks everyone for their love, support and prayers. Thanks to the Utica Police for their ongoing efforts, support and dedication. Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at Peter Spencer U.A.M.E. Church, 841 Bleecker Street Utica. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm funeral service.
