Obituary of Nicholas M Mariano

Nicholas M. Mariano, 75, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2020 at the Onondaga Center Rehabilitation Facility. Nicholas was born in Syracuse, NY on October 19, 1944, the eldest son of Patsy P. Mariano and Mary F. (Grandinetti) Mariano. Nick was educated in the East Syracuse District and upon leaving school he worked in the automotive industry that he loved as a mechanic. Nick had many interests and careers, which included his love of animals, he cared and loved several small dogs over the years. He took care of them and they in turn took care of him. He left his mark on this world as being a contributor to local charities (Food Bank, Wounded Warriors and various others). Nick, of the Catholic faith was a devoted believer who loved his family and friends. Those who knew Nick knew that he was a little “rough around the edges”; but his heart and intentions were always sincere. Nick leaves to cherish his life; his children, additional family members and friends; special acknowledgements to his cousin Steve; sister Julie, niece Christina and brother Joseph Mariano. He truly loved his family and friends. He left his mark on this world with love and affection. Nicholas will truly be missed, you will never be forgotten and we will never forget the times we all shared…may you rest in peace in the Hands of God! All services will be private and handled at the discretion of the family.
