Obituary of John Lee Phillips
John Lee "Johnny Boy" Phillips was called to the next life peacefully. His contributions to the lives of many included a big smile, a charming personalitiy and bringing people into his church. Always, known to be a sharp-dresser and having an inviting personality that people would always gravitate to and follow.
Later in life, John Lee became a decon in the Mormon Church and found his calling to the Lord. He brought peoople from the community into the church. Family and friends loved the openess and acceptance that the church offered and the guidance that "Johnny Boy" offererred.
John Lee also generated a big family and an even bigger extended family of children that saw him as a father figure. With that being said, it is important to note who has survived his legacy and memories. Sisters: Marguerite and Sylvia; his children: Richard, Jermaine, Nitosha Phillips, Jonathan , Eliza Phillips, Walter Phillips and Cornell.
John Lee is predeceased by his parents: July and Eliza Phillips; brothers: Ulysee, Walter and Bill; sister Loretta and wife Awilda.
