Margie Yvonne (Wright) Rivera, 61, of Utica, died February 22, 2012, in Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare. She was born February 22, 1951,in Utica to Ophelia and the late Elder Elester Wright. She attended T.R. Proctor High School and later Greater Hartford Community College, after relocating to Connecticut. Margie accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, graciously entered into the ministry and ultimately her Eldership at the First Church of The Living God. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Fermin Rivera, her mother, Mrs. Ophelia Wright, of Utica, Sons; Juan Wright, of VA, Calvin Harris, Drake (Marcella) Harris and Brad Harris, all of CT, sixteen grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, brothers; Elester (Sandra) Wright, of Utica, George Wright, of OH, Michael (Carrie) Wright, of Utica and Paul Wright, of CA sisters; Alberta Couch, of FL, Betty (Garfield) Sykes, of AZ, Joanne (Burt) Malone, of NV, Rosie Wright, of Rochester, NY, Shirley Wright, of Vancouver, WA and Theresa Wright, of CT, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends may call on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at the House of God Church 1304 Genesee Street Utica. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm at the church. Arrangements by T.Revels-Gibson Funeral Services inc.
