Joe L. Grimes, 73, of Marcy, NY, passed away in his home February 12, 2012. He was born in Portal, GA , On April 23, 1938. Joe was a mechanic at Utica Chrysler Plymouth for many years before retiring. Joe is survived by sons; James Joe Jr., of Illion, NY, Johnnie, of Rome, NY, and Oscar (Kelly) Grimes, of Utica. daughters; Betty (Robert) Jackson, of Marcy, NY, Cynthia Lacy and Julia M. Hurd, of IL, and a host of grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his wife, Bettye M. Grimes and his youngest son, Henry Leroy Grimes. Friends may call on Saturday, February 18, 2012, from 12:00 noon until the 1:00 pm funeral service at T.Revels-Gibson Funeral Chapel.
