Irene M. Williams, 44 of Utica, NY passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. Irene was born on April 5, 1972 in Albany, NY to Ms. Jean Williams.
Irene was educated in Albany, New York, Dallas, Texas, Laurel, Mississippi and Utica, New York. Irene received her associate’s degree from Mohawk Valley Community College and worked at The Bank of America.
Irene was an “AVID” BINGO and Casino player, to the point where everyone knew her name. She was also the chef for all holiday dinners, and loved spending time with her family as well as her Hope Chapel AME Zion Church family.
Irene leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters: Lareka Williams and Tasheonia Hills and her son, Shawn Hills; sisters: Daisy McGill, Cassandra Hood; Jayne Arrington; Erstella (James) Bell; brothers: Luke Roberts, James (Tammy) Arrington, Kenny Arrington, David and Derrick Morgan; grandchildren: Damone Hill, La’Miyah and Cardricus Maye, Jr.; aunts: Lynn Williams, Diana (Dan) Williams, Vicki (Keith) Johnson, Monica Thomas and Ellis Williams; uncles: David (Pat) Williams, Michael (Jackie) Williams; godmother: Jean Davis; friends Cardricus Maye, Sr. and Girard Hills and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Hope Chapel AME Zion Church and T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home for their kindness.

Irene’s calling hour will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Hope Chapel AME Zion Church, 751 South Street, Utica, NY, 13501 and her funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Irene’s interment will be at New Forest Cemetery at the discretion of the family.
