Plumer Reed, Sr., 83 of Utica, NY went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2017 in the loving presence of his family.
Plumer was born on July 3, 1933 to the late Mulbery and Loriaine (Young) Reed in Bellwood, Alabama. Plumer married Annie Reed in Alabama and later relocated to Utica, NY where he was a machine operator at Special Metals Inc., New Hartford, NY for many years.
Plumer leaves to mourn his passing his daughters: Gloria Reed and Bobbi Jean Reed and his son Plumer Reed, Jr.; sister Callie Mae.
Plumer was predeceased by his sisters: Mattie Mae Diggs, Earlie Mae Reed, Willie Bell Turner, Lanai Bell and brothers: Lindel Reed, Tom Reed, Hillard Reed and John D. Reed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, NY 13501 and the funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at the family's discretion.
