So sad to learn of Mattie's passing. What a great Women, she was ahead of her time and paved the way for many of us. She was fearless in her undertakings and had a hope for making things better for children and their families. She passed on the knowledge that you could not help a child if you did not help that child's family. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity she afforded me to better myself and the belief that she had in me. That belief is something she saw in many people, did not matter what station of life you were in, if you were willing to put in the work, she showed you how it could be done. Debbie and family, my heartfelt condolences!
