Obituary of Sue Ann Stevens

Please share a memory of Sue to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sue Ann Stevens, 64, a resident of Utica, NY passed on Friday, December 2, 2016 with her family at her side. Sue Ann, born on August 19, 1952 in Ilion, NY to the late Ransom Evans Sr. and Florence (Peterson) Evans. Sue Ann worked at Masonic Care Community as a Nurses Aid for over thirty-five years as a service to families and never as a need to self. Another passion of Sue Ann’s was the time that she spent with her husband “Steve”, working side by side renovating homes in Utica. Where there was a need there was the Sue Ann and Steve team to come to the rescue. You can see the love of their work throughout all of Utica. Along with the renovations, you could always see the love of Sue Ann’s gardening not only at her home but also at the places that she and Steve renovated. Another memory that the family would like to share are the times that were spent at the campsite in Theresa, NY. It was a true family affair, where the fishing lines were plenty and the laughs, good times and memories were plentiful. Another passion for Sue Ann was attending the Wine and Chocolate Festival in Utica with her family and friends. Her last smile and toast was taken in April 2016. There will be a toast in her honor! She is survived by her three sisters; Dorothy Blair, Juanita Monroe, Rosetta Greene, three brothers; Ransom Evans Jr. (Joyce), and Archie Evans, three children; Vincent Harris, Sheila Shelton (David), Christine Gooch (Christopher), 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Sue Ann was predeceased by her father; Ransom Evans Sr., mother; Florence Evans., her husband; Edward (Steve) Stevens Jr., and brother; Sam Evans.
