Please share a memory of Charlette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charlette Ford, 59 was born on October 1, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Mary Liggins. Charlette left Tennessee and headed to Chicago until 1971 when she made her final move to Utica, NY., where she met and married her former husband, Edward Ford. She made her career at Mele & Co., Manufacturing until her retirement of 20 years of service. Charlette, a “Jack of All Trades” was a friend to many known by all, was a person who would be at your side without hesitation. Music was a true passion and evident in many aspects of her life. You would always be able to associate a song with whatever was happening with her at the time. The music will still be playing… Charlette leaves to cherish her heart and soul, her brothers: John (Ronate Fulton) Wright and Tyrone Liggins; grandson: Bernard Wright III, whom she raised as her own; Goddaughters: Myrtle S. Bowens and Charlette Sanders and Jaquetta Patterson and Godsons: Raheem Jackson as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charlette was predeceased by her parents; her son: Bernard Wright, her sister: Vicky Liggins and special friends: Delores Selby and Mary Joyce Sanders. Gone but not forgotten, Charlette “Pumpkin” “Jerk” Ford’s memory will linger with all of those whose spirit she touched for the days, months, years to come. She leaves her favorite Psalm (41) to give strength to those who are missing her today: Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501 with her funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery following the funeral service.
