Obituary of Murray Tarver

Murray Tarver, 89 of Utica, NY went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2016, with his family by his side. Born August 2, 1927 in Clayton, Alabama to Ike Tarver and Elgirtha (Denard) Tarver. Murray Tarver leaves his wife Jean Phyliss [Buck] Tarver of 31 years were married on December 29, 1984 until his departure. Murray leaves to cherish his memories his children; Jewelene (Ray) Richardson; Linda Jean Tarver-Euell (Fredrick “Jay” Benson)all of Maryland; Pearlene Young of Utica; Robert and Doris Hendricks of Utica, Ronald J. (Christine) Tarver Sr. of Albany; his stepsons Thomas P. (Sharon) Buck of Alabama and Al (Melissa) Green of Marcy, NY, his brother Ike (Mamie) Tarver Jr. of Alabama. Also, leaving behind five generations, including 24 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Murray was predeceased by his parents Ike Tarver and Elgirtha (Denard) Tarver, sister; Mary Lee of Alabama, his son in laws; Ralph L. Young Sr. and Tommie L. Euell. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 11, 2016, 11:00 am at Friendship Baptist Church, 1004 Albany Street, Utica, NY 13401 with service immediately following at 12:00 pm with Elder Charles March officiating and committal at New Forest Cemetery. Family will receive friends @ 1115 West St. following committal.
