Michael Shawn Kessler born December 13, 1954 in Utica NY, has gone home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2016. Michael is survived by his Mother, Mrs. Margaret Kessler and Siblings; Peter, Emma, Lisa, Mary, Lydia Dedner, Barbara White and Sharon Dillon. Michael was pre -deceased by Father, Ralph Kessler Sr. Siblings; Karen, Ralph Jr. and Loretta Brockman. He has left behind Children, Christine and Justin with Grandchildren (Olivia and Brodi); Host of nieces and nephews in addition to others that he considered family and special friends. Michael was a talented artist that loved to paint in his spare time. Michael was a fitness trainer and competitive body builder who won several awards in state competitions. He was a meticulous and crafty project manager who performed landscaping and housing renovations. Michael was a pet lover that enjoyed caring for dogs, cats and birds. He rescued animals and gave them shelter. Michael graduated from Herkimer Community College with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. He was formerly employed by the Georgia Transit Authority.
11:00 am visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Services, Inc., 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501 with Homegoing service immediately following at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
