Ernestine “Koot” Duhart, 76 of Utica, NY, departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born in Vienna, GA to the late Rose Griswald on April 12, 1940. After arriving in Utica, Ernestine became a dedicated Christian who committed her life to praising Jesus Christ. She was well recognized and loved throughout Utica for her dancing and worshiping, and she loved to tell people about the goodness of the Lord. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories; two sons, Steve Duhart (Utica, NY) and Jesse Willis (Clinton, NY); one sister, Dianne Rodgers (Savannah, GA); four brothers: Eddie Duhart (Camden, NY), Robert Fudge (South Bay, FL), Henry Bryant (California), William Bryant & wife (Utica, NY); nieces: Tanya Bryant (Trenton, NJ), JoAnn Camp (Maryland); and a host of loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the family and friends for their support and blessings during this time of grief. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at T. Revels-Gibson Funeral Home, 144 Eagle Street, Utica, NY 13501. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation.
