Rodney Cornell Jones, departed this life on May 13, 2016 in Utica, NY after a long battle with cancer. He was 46.
Rodney was born on April 20, 1970 in Utica, New York to Abraham and Beulah Jones. He graduated from Utica Senior Academy in 1988 and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1993. Rodney was a member of Unity and Love Fellowship Ministries, Pastor Henry Carter.
Rodney returned to Utica, NY in April 2014 to gain family support. Rodney is survived by his mother, Beulah Jones of Courtland, VA.; three brothers: Randall (Kim) Mason of Norfolk, VA; Darren Mason of Utica, NY; Timothy (Tammi) Jones of Utica, NY; and two sisters: Eileen Mason of Las Vegas, NV and Sonya (Sherman) Brown of Utica, NY. He is predeceased by his brother Allen Mason and his father, Abraham Jones. To cherish his memory, he leaves twelve nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews.
Rodney requested to be cremated. Celebration of Life service will be held at Greater Highway Deliverance Temple, 1705 Whitesboro St., Utica, NY on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm. All flowers can be sent to the same address.
