Willie A. Mitchell, a longtime Utica, NY resident, son of the late John and Susie (Clark) Mitchell entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2015 after a long illness. Willie was predeceased in death by his wife, Catherine Mitchell, son Eric Mitchell, daughter Cathy (Mitchell) Graham and grandson Richard Savage III. Willie leaves behind to cherish his memory, 5 daughters; Rosalind "Michele" Savage of Utica NY, Mrs. Constance Hawkins (Betaile) of Killeen TX, Loretta Bell of Cairo, GA, Mrs Betty Parker (Raymond) Lithonia GA, and Mrs Jennifer Washington (Andre)of Buford Georgia, 6 brothers: John Mitchell (Flora),and Kelvin Mitchell (Lucretia)of Chicago Illinois, Joseph Mitchell (Evelyn)of Ontario California, Wilfred Mitchell of Holland Michigan, Ruben Mitchell (Nancy)of Gadsden Alabama, and Andrew Mitchell of Atlanta Georgia; 5 sisters: Annie Thomas, Bernice McCarty, Mrs. Susie Coprich (Leonard) of Montgomery Alabama, Mrs. Betty Jeter (Rexford)and Mrs Janie Frank (Carl)of Shorter, Alabama; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
